Beautiful sounds

I went to see a gig last night which was an amazing collaboration between Tunng and Tinariwen at the Irish Centre in Leeds. Afterwards I chatted to Tinariwen, they don't speak any English so I got to use my French :) I also bought this beautiful screen print there, designed by twoducksdisco.

A little discovery...

I finally found a link to a picture of the time my neckwarmer was on the Etsy front page. This was really exciting as I'd only just started with Etsy and didn't really know what it meant to be on the front page. Jo was fantastic at telling me everything you need to know when you get started, and recently whilst I was asking some questions about it all, Michelle told me where to find old Etsy front pages on Flickr.

I had a great week last week with all kinds of exciting birthday celebrations. I eventually got hold of my new Nikon D40 after a little trip into Bradford. Saturday was spent wandering around Roundhay park with friends. I took a few photos but I think the camera will still take a bit of getting used to. I even started a new Flickr page for the occasion.

Anna's running the Great North Run!

I've been wanting to run the Great North Run half marathon for a while, and I've decided to do it for Mind, England's leading Mental health charity.
It's a cause that's really important to me as I really feel we can all be affected by mental distress. 1 in 4 people are, so that means if not us, then one of our family, friends, colleagues or clients will be affected.

Tea and cakes

What better way to celebrate my first post than with tea and cakes! Above are my housemates in gingerbread form; Jonny, Trev, me and Matt. It was a winter's day before Christmas and work was snowed off so I did a bit of baking. I think we all look a little ghostly but then maybe it's the snow...
